Split-core current transformers are designed for quick and easy installation.The CT's have an internal precision load resistor on the secondary winding that provides a safe, low voltage output and allows the secondary winding to be safely opened.
Split Current Transformers 5 to 600 amps of alternating current through the center conductor. The split core design allows for non-contact current measurement via magnetic field induction without the need to take the main wire offline and disconnect when installing the CT. This approach enables safer, simpler and portable current measurements.
The open-type current transformer is easy to install. There is no need to remove the primary busbar. It can also be operated with power without affecting the customer's normal power consumption. It can be used in conjunction with relay protection, measurement and metering devices.
